Are You Sure?

Are you sure about what you say to me?

Did you think about it before it came from your mouth?

Are you sure you know what you’re going to do

When you are the only man out

Are you sure that you were the best thing

That you ever thought you could be

Are you sure there was even a future

For the man you are and who you hope to be

Be strong, have pride, don’t downgrade yourself

For a few smiles and giggles your way

Don’t belittle yourself by your actions

Because a few years from now it won’t be the same

Are you sure that you are even sure at times

Do you understand what you’re doing with your life?

Do you understand the consequences of your actions?

Can you understand dark from light?

But all I am asking is that are you sure

Is this what you want for your life?
