The first snow fell on a December day
Right on a tree branch where it decided to stay
Then soon snow fell more and more
The branch snapped
And the snow then fell to the floor
The icy breeze I feel all around
The numbness in my hands
My rigid smile
Lovely in so many ways
This beautiful December day
