The innocence of a child
Oh how we use to think
We we were but 3 years old
And questioned everything
When love was overflowing
And no one knew the definition of hate
The innocence of a child
Is such a wonderful thing
Why do we begin to forget Lessons
As we continue to get old
The kindness that was once in our hearts
Is slowly replaced with ice so cold
Soon we forget about “THE GOLDEN RULE”
And treat people any way
We slowly forget the true concept of love
And we learn how to hate
The innocence of a child
Oh how we use to think
If only we kept that innocence
The world would be a better place
Everyone would attempt to get along
Everyone would care much more
But it seems as we get older
We learn to love less and hate more….
As people grow older, they mature and it would seems like we would love more, but we hate each other more. Also as a child, we just want to be nice and be friends with everyone. Makes me think where does the hate come from as we get older?
